My Stop Smoking Coach with Alan Carr is a real DS application. These DS apps are starting to get out of control; yoga, weight loss, learning a language, and now quitting smoking.
Sir Anthony Hopkins give it a a rave review, "It was such a revolution that instantly I was free from my addiction."
Awesome Tony! Good for you!
This game is rated E, apparently 5 year olds need to quit smoking.
Game looks kind of incomplete. I'll wait for the patch.
Curl up on your couch and sip some egg nog as you crack skulls of the yakuza in Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars; coming this winter, announced yesterday at E3. This was probably Nintendos' biggest win of E3.
Tue, 15 Jul 2008 - Rockstar Games is proud to announce Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for the Nintendo DS. "This is a game that will deliver a rich, fast-paced and intense 'Grand Theft Auto' experience that will be truly unique to Nintendo's handheld platform," said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. "Rockstar Leeds, along with the team at Rockstar North, has built upon a decade of progressive design on Grand Theft Auto, and has created something fundamentally fresh and immersive."
Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is an entirely original entry into the critically acclaimed Grand Theft Auto series, and brings a new level of interactivity to its sprawling open environments. With the use of the DS touch screen, players will navigate their way through the streets as they uncover the truth behind an epic tale of crime and corruption within the Triad crime syndicate, delivering the unprecedented amount of depth that has become a true trademark of the franchise.
Developed by Rockstar Leeds in conjunction with series creators Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars will be available on the Nintendo DS in North America and Europe this winter.
Gammick Entertainment is releasing a fairy tale zombie game. It's not just a zombie game, it's a fairy tale zombie game. Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ takes place in Storybookland, where something awful happens and classic characters turn undead. A Marvel Zombies of fairy tales stuff.
Little Red Riding Hood, armed with cuteness and a hand cannon, must save the day. Coming soon!
Indiana Jones for the DS is awesome. It's fun and adorable and it fits in your pocket. Much like Lego minifigs themselves. The DS is fun and portable, I could be anywhere and have my little Lego friends with me. I feel that the DS version, though might not be as robust as the console version, has that, "child bringing his toy with him," feel. Not only are you bringing a game system with you, you are also bringing your collection of Lego dudes.
It is a Lego game, they figured out how to make fun. Break stuff, collect silver, gold and blue chips, buy new characters, call your friends over to the TV for cut scenes, repeat. This game is great on both systems, as expected the home consoles have better graphics and more content. However the DS has different levels and slightly different game play.
Despite the fact that the graphics are a little choppy the DS holds up strongly with game play and fluid motion. I would recommend this to any DS owner as a fun diversion.
Plushees by Big John Games. A whimsical set of boring mini games that has nothing to do with the subversive fetish community. Aside from checking this game out to see if there might be some kind of "rapeplay" that could be done with the cute little anamorphs, there is not much here for the casual pervert. There is a multilayer component to the game. I can imagine what sort of multilayer activities could be played, then again I don't think this game is for my age group.
Game play is a bunch of uninteresting stylus based touch games. You win points which you can exchange for tickets to buy other characters; horses, pigs, pandas, unicorns, and one character known as Molly. Molly is the only human styled "plushee" a little doll, with a impish grin that winks at you every 6 seconds. It is a mildly suggestive wink, with a heavy does of creepy.
You know at the local swinger plushophile meeting there is a grab bag gift exchange. Someone is totally going to wrap this as a gift. I am willing to bet that more people have bought this game on account of the title being associated with a sexual fetish, rather than being bought for children who this is obviously made for. Sadly this game sucks even for children, unless you have some pedigree real soft child that wants to cry all the time. That might be a bit harsh. Out of my catholic guilt I have to say that I am sure there are some children that will love this game.
This fall just in time for the Season of the Witch, Konami is going to be releasing it's newest addition to the Castlevania series. Castlevanina: Order of Ecclesia. This is exciting, Castlevanina games are almost always satisfying, and they are really quite a lovely addition to any DS console.
Since creation of the benchmark game Castlevanina: Symphony of the Night, it is now an actual law to mention SotN when referring to any other Castlevanina game, new or old. So now that we have gotten that out of way we can get back to Order of Ecclesia.
In this newest game you take on the role of Shanoa who is fighting vampires, and monsters, and things that fly. I am guessing she will be related to the Belmont family who at this point have a Days of our Lives level of genealogy. Good for them, they are vampire hunters, I would assume it is like family business, much like a diner, or a hot dog truck.
Any way this game will have RPG elements and will take after the events of SoTN. The player will not only be confined to the castle; Order of Ecclesia will feature mountains, oceans, and forests. It will also include online play.
