THQ Part 2: Destroy All Humans! :Path Of The Furon

In a world of next-gen greens and browns....

Destroy All Humans!:Path Of The Furon, is a fun sandbox game where you play an alien that has been living on Earth for the past 20 years harvesting mankind. Destroy All Humans! first came out on last generations consoles and was fun, a little repetitive, but fun. The jokes were funny, but a little repetitive, the game play was solid, but a little repetitive, the boards were clever but when you got right down to it, a little repetitive. Now THQ is delivering Destroy All Humans to this generation of consoles, hopefully it will be slightly less repetitive.

But what is a sequel with out a bit of repetition? Highlander 2 is the answer, and that movie sucked. Every sequel needs a bit of throwback. The hard pill for me that i have to continuously swallow with the Destroy All Humans series is that they always want to have it take place in the past the 50's, the 60's, and now the 70's. The main character name is Crypto and he talks like Jack Nicholson, and the guy from Invader Zim plays the alien high command. To be honest there is something that has always rubbed me the wrong way about that.

In all fairness the game play that was showed to us by THQ was impressive. The level design is more detailed, your line of sight is further, and your game play as Crypto seemed to have a more more destructive feel. There is new weapons for the space craft game play including ship to ship combat. I might not put this at the top of my list, but if you have never played a Destroy All Humans game before this is to be the highlight of the series.
